Buses from Condado to OSJ

Good question. We just came back from the Condado area on Saturday. We stayed at the Radisson Ambassador about 2 blocks away from the Mariott. (BTW...great area) We were also there pre/post cruise at Christmas/New Years. The first trip, we had no problems catching a bus on a regular schedule. At the bus terminal I think it said every 38-59 minutes...can't explain those numbers. It was actually coming about every 25 at the time. This trip...we were lucky to even see a B21. We waited over an hour one day and over 45 minutes another. We found it to be very unpredictible, but one thing we learned the hard way: school gets out around 2:30ish and there are no buses coming through the area because there are 2 schools near there. The traffic near the Radisson and Burger King is terrible...very congested. Not much of anything came through except cars. So be careful of your timing.

Check out the 'which hotel' thread...I just posted a lot about the Radisson. We loved everything about it....well, okay it could be directly on the beach. Keep this in mind....We were leaving on Friday (March 10th) and were trying to get a taxi to the airport around 2:30...there were none to be found, and traffic was horrible right up to the hotel area. Turns out there are two schools near by and everyone comes to pick their kids up. Taxis stay clear of the congestion. The bellman tried his hardest to find us a taxi, so we started walking toward the Marriott away from the traffic. Apparently he finally found a taxi and sent it to us as one pulled up and knew we were heading to the airport. When you stay there, you must meet Abraham and Jose...front office manager and assistant desk manager. They are GREAT!!! They will see to it that you are well taken care of. Also, Mythera at the excursion desk is a lot of help. Let me know if you need anything else. You will love it.

We took the B21 bus this past Sunday. We waited about 15 minutes for one to take us to OSJ. We knew the fare was 75 cents per person, so my husband had the $3 for our family ready to go (in $1 bills). The buses only accept exact change fares in coins, but the driver let us on. On our way back, we waited 45 minutes for a return bus.
