happy cruising Posted June 6, 2023 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2023 Has anyone stayed in stateroom 7035 or a similar room right next to the doors out to the promenade deck on the Serenity on OC? If you are in the stateroom, can you hear the doors opening and shutting when people go out to the Promenade deck or come back in from the Promenade deck? Thanks. History&Wine Posted June 6, 2023 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2023 I've not been in 7035, but I've been close. And I've stayed in several rooms on deck 7. I find that those doors aren't really used that much. The midship doors are used much more. It can be an issue with high winds. Other than that I wouldn't be concerned.
doglover214 Posted June 6, 2023 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2023 I have stayed in that room and ones similar to it. I love those rooms because of their proximity to the deck. I never heard anything or was disturbed by any noise.
jet65 Posted June 6, 2023 #4 Share Posted June 6, 2023 In the past, we have stayed in 8034 many times. It is right above that deck exit door. The only times that we have experienced a noise problem is when the self-closing device on the door gets out of adjustment and then the door will close with a loud bang. A quick call to the front desk results in the door being re-adjusted quickly. Other than that it is a very convenient location If the weather is nice and the seas are calm the door is used frequently by those that enjoy walking the deck for exercise.
ChatKat in Ca. Posted June 7, 2023 #5 Share Posted June 7, 2023 I chose that cabin for one of my first Crystal Cruises so I could go out as we sailed by the Staute of Liberty. We were late and it was 2am and I was so happy to be close to my cabin.
