Club Spa Balcony vs Aft Facing Balcony

Hi cruisers,

My friend and I are about to book a sailing next January on Norwegian Breakaway out of New Orleans. At the moment the price for an aft-facing balcony and a club spa balcony suite are about the same, and we can't decide what would be better for us. Some things to note for us:

  • We will want spa access throughout the cruise, so most likely would buy a week long pass if we didn't get the spa balcony suite
  • We really like the bathroom layout and the additional shower nozzles in the club spa balcony
  • We're somewhat concerned with the size of the balcony, obviously the side facing balconies on these ships are really small. We don't need a tonne of space, but would be nice to be able to stretch out, eat room services etc. on the balcony
  • It appears the only club spa balcony suites are on deck 14 (right below the Lido deck). Should we be concerned about noise travelling down?

Would love to hear anythings thoughts/suggestions. We love the idea of having a larger, aft-facing balcony but we also love the idea of having a bigger bathroom/better shower and free spa access, so we're just a bit stumped.

Have you considered the M6 (Club Balcony Suite with Large Balcony) on deck 8? You would still need to buy Spa access but you'd have the large balcony, larger shower/double sink, staterooms above, and Club Balcony amenities (not great but still...). You would lose some balcony privacy since most of the balcony is visible from above but some of it is covered. You'd also have a great view down to the water.
