Bringing food from ship on land?

Hi

3rd time cruiser. MSC Seaside in the fall.

we are watching lots of videos.

In Costa-Maya we will go straight to the ruins, they say where we will go there is only a very expensive little to go food place.

we were planning on bringing snacks in our back pack.

The videos say no fruits, veggies, cheese or meats on land.

Fair enough.

But they say dry goods are ok???

Can i grab potatoe chips, cookies, pastries for example?

The snacks would be only for the Costa-Maya stop.

I would always say do not bring any food off the ship at all, but if you are going to do it then commercially packaged snacks are least likely to cause a problem, so not unwrapped cookies or pastries...

If in doubt ask the security staff, do not just try to sneak stuff ashore...
