scubagirrl Posted March 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2006 Hi :) Has anyone taken Sea Island Adventures to Rose Island? How was it ? What is there to do there? Thanks Joe and Sheryl :) Since noone has answered this.. I'll will. The Sea Island Adventure it a great trip to Rose Island. THe boat dock on the back side of the island and you wander thru the pathways to the private beach on the other side (3-4 minutes). The beach is gorgeous with a view of Sandy Cay (gilligans island) in the distance. The snorkeling reef is only 20 feet out in the calm protected waters. You can snorkel with the group, or whenever you want. There's hammocks, chaises, kayaks and other water toys, as well as a volleyball net down the beach a bit. There's plenty of shade and privacy for those who seek it. There's a small native building with bathrooms and outdoor showers, as well as a tiny souvenier stand and bar. Native lunch usually consists of chicken, ribs, cole slaw, peas and rice, hotdogs for the kids, as well as fresh fruit and salad. I think 1 rum punch per person, but you can bring, or buy more at the bar. This is really a delightful day, as full as activity as you want, or as laid back as can be.
