Cabin Above Champaigne/schooner Bar

Recommended Posts

Hi, we are thinking of booking a 'hump' cabin on Jewel of the Seas, deck 7. I am a little concerned regarding the possibility of noise/music coming from Schooner Bar and Champaigne bar late at night. Has anyone been in the hump cabins on deck 7 and is this a legit concern or not? Thanks for your imput.

We are going on the Serenade on April 29th and are in cabin 7598, so I might be able to help you after we return. I assume that you will have probably booked your cabin by then. I will ask on our Roll Call as some have been on this ship previously, as well as the Jewel. I had the same concerns. I have read that the Champagne bar is "under used" and I figured that even if there is a band playing in the atrium somewhere, they will finish before my bedtime, but I am a "night owl". I was concerned as well being that we are only one level up from the casino, but I think we will be okay there too. When you look at the ships deck plan, line up the elevators and don't just look across the page from deck to deck because the book lines them up at the top. If I hear anything from our group I will let you know.

Thank you, Mrs. Fritz... any info would be appreciated. We will be sailing with two first timers and I would like their experience to be as wonderful as ours was when we sailed on the Mariner for the first time. We were on deck 9, hump cabin, for that cruise, but only deck 7 is available for the Jewel for this sailing...It can't be too noisy, can it?

KarenKay, Okay, I asked over on our board because the Serenade is laid out just like the Jewel in regards to the "hump". We are in cabin 7598 on the Serenade and it would line up with the same cabin on the Jewel. Here is what one of the frequent cruisers on our roll call said about it:

"Looked up it's location and that's a lovely spot. There is a wall surrounding the atrium so none of the noise filters up to you. You'll have a doorway to the right as you come out of your room that leads to the computer area where you can look down into the atrium. Or you can go left and around the corner to the stairs. The worse you might have is people coming up the stairs and going by your room to get to theirs. But the majority of people will be taking the elevators and cutting thru the Internet area so all in all it should be very quiet."

Hope that is helpful! Have a great weekend!

Susan
