How to link bookings and onboard spend

Hello all! 6 days till Iona and the fjords, can’t wait!  There are three of us travelling in two rooms (next to each other).  It says on “admin” on the my P&O to remember to link your bookings if you’re travelling with someone else but doesn’t say how to do that?  I’ve looked all through my P&O (and there was nothing on the frankly awful checkin experience the other day).  Any ideas?

also, can onboard spend be combined with another room?

thank you, only our second cruise - and first from Southampton so it’s a little new to us 😊🙏

To link your bookings you have to phone your travel agent or P&O (if booked direct). Have both parties booking references to hand. Takes seconds, but it’s not something you can do yourself. It’s less critical on Iona as you will all have Freedom Dining anyway, there being no fixed / club dining on Iona), but best to do it anyway.

OBC cannot be combined between cabins, but you can monitor your on board spend during the cruise, so can determine who buys the drinks by establishing who has the most OBC left 😂

Haha yes the other room has more OBC than us as we’ve covered the parking so we will be leaning on them a little 🤣 thanks so much.

You can combine onboard spend with another cabin, provided the same debit/credit card pays for both cabins.  Before online check-in it was easy to do at Southampton.  Now the easiest way is for one cabin not to register a card at all at online check-in (we've been told you're still able to print a boarding pass), and then you can sort it out at Southampton as before.  Otherwise you end up queuing at reception once on board, and waiting for many phone calls to authorise the linking.
