Limelight Club & 710 Club on Iona

We are planning a 7 night cruise on Iona in September.

can anyone tell me the times for the Limelight Club and the 710 club.

just starting to plan dinner times and entertainment venues.

Also if you know the theatre times that would be really helpful

Hi Minnie,

 

Can’t help you with the 710 club or theatre times. If you are thinking of doing the Limelight Club your dinner is included in the booking. On Iona in March, I think it opened at 7.30 and everyone eats at the same time. I recommend you book in the two week period before your cruise as it might be fully booked if you wait until onboard. We have done the Limelight Club many times and always enjoyed it.. We are on Iona in a couple of weeks and booked it already. We don’t know La Voix, the artist who is on this time but we have never had a bad experience, and many brilliant ones - Gareth Gates, Cheryl Baker and Ray Quinn in March this year were my favourites.

We will definitely book the Limelight Club before boarding. Sounds great.

Hopefully someone else will have the information regarding the 710 club and the Headliner Theatre.

There are four performances each evening in the 710 club - 7:30pm, 9:00pm, 10:30pm and 12:15am from what I can recall. 

 

The Theatre has two shows 8:30 and 10:30.

These are the actual and accurate timings as per the Horizon, for three cruises we have done this year, two on Arvia and one last month on Iona:

 

Limelight Club

Seating starts at 19:00.  The show is finished by 22:30 at the very latest.

It used to be that the date you booked determined your table; the earlier you booked the closer you were to the stage. Now, it's according to your place in the actual queue.

 

The Limelights

This is the resident band for the Limelight Club; their sets start at 22:30.

 

Headliners Theatre

The fixed times are 20:30 and 22:30. On some nights there is a show on at 18:45.

The show lasts about 50 minutes.

 

710 Club

The fixed times are 19:00, 20:45, 22:30, and 00:15; that is regardless of it being a performance by the house band or a guest.

The set, for the house band at least, lasts about 40 minutes. 

If you were unsuccessful in securing a booking, get to the venue when the doors open, which is thirty minutes before the scheduled performance time, and ask to be put on the standby list. About five to ten minutes before the performance starts they will call in those on the standby list, in strict arrival order. If you are in the first ten of that group, you are very likely to be admitted, more so for the later performances.

 

Club House

The fixed timings for Pulse, the resident party band, are 20:00, 21:30, and 23:00. They are usually the same for other acts, when Pulse aren't playing.

Pulse's sets last 45 minutes, and each one has different songs. On the night when the comedian does an adult only set, it generally starts at 23:45 or midnight.
