Captain Marvins / Anyone done the 830am?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone here has done the early excursion with Captain Marvins at 830. It has an 8am check in time. The Mariner Of The Seas gets in at their local time of 7am. Did you get to your excursion on time?Has anyone NOT made it to this excursion on time? If so, What did Captain Marvins do?

We have done CPt'N Marvins several times. Once we did the full day that required you to be at the shop by 8. Your key will be to get on first tender regarldess of what they tell you on the ship (ie not for non ship booked excursions) Baloney, get in line for a tender ticket(s) at the first chance. Have the balance of the party wait near the tender load out to hold a place in line and communicate with radios as to what is going on. You will make it just fine.

Smooth sailing

Going over to cruisecal.com

See how many ships are in port that day. The fewer the number, will give you a good shot if your ship is using the large local tenders and not a few of their own lifeboats as tenders.

I agree. What's this about the ship reserving tender space for only those booking thru the ship. I have never waitind for them. In fact, on the last 'tendered' cruise we were on lately (May 05), we didn't get "tender tickets"

We had the early Capt. Marvin's trip out to StingRay city on our first Explorer cruise and made it in plenty of time. In fact, we had to leave our swim gear at their shop while we wandered around for an hour because we were there so early. Their shop is only about three or four blocks to the left after you get off the tender.
