This will be our first time on the Lido deck in a balcony cabin, friends swear by this deck. You are close to everything and the cabin area only a third of the deck space, so you have less traffic outside your door.

Which deck is best is a relative question, what is "Best" for you... Some like the Lido since they are close to the action and can access their cabins quickly while by the pool or have a short haul to take buffet food out on their own deck.

Some people like to be high so they can see further and have a commanding view in port, some people like to be low so that they can see marine life from their balcony.

Some like it quiet - the Empress deck is best for that is it is sandwich between two decks of only rooms.

The nice thing about a Conquest class balcony, there are no obstructed views, everyone in a balcony has a great view in my opinion.

If we were traveling in one room on a Conquest class, I would personally book a Gty just to save the money. Others perfer to be in a specific location, and that is cool too!

edit - for less traffic, the Panorama Deck would probably be best...

We were in 8344 last October on the Conquest. It was very convient. The only problem was that it was located directly below the pool dining area on the Lido deck. You could hear chairs scraping onthe deck all day long. You do get use to it but it is something to consider when picking a cabin. There is a block 10-12 cabins on both sides of the ship where this is a concern.
