What is the one thing someone should not forget to pack for a Disney Cruise?

Recommended Posts

pack you SMILE!!! you'll be using it all day everyday of the cruise!!!!

I guess all kidding aside, pack extra prescriptions in case of delays. Those cant be got on the ship!

If you have toddlers take extra swim diapers for the Mickey ear that is designated for toddlers. You will go through lots of them and DCL does sell them on board, but they run out quickly and they cost a fortune.

Take sun block too, all the pools are in the direct sun.

Wishing you a magical cruise,

mom x4,grandma x4

And don't forget the over the door shoe holder.(not for shoes!) Especially if you have kids. Put all the sunscreen, brushes,toothbrushes/paste, combs, medicines, sunglasses, etc...in here so your room doesn't get cluttered and you can find everything easy. This was the best tip we got. If you use the shelves in the bathroom and have high seas, everything will slide off them, so this saves time and space in the bathroom too.

Proper ID, you don't want to be left on the dock when the ship sails! :)

Highlighter to make sure you don't miss any of the fun onboard activities you want to do.

A clothespin for the drapes if you have an outside room and don't want the sun poking through in the morning.

Binoculars to catch sight of some of the amazing marine life.

Your credit card :) to rebook onboard for the onboard credit and savings for your next Disney cruise!

Enjoy!

4 times now, best deal avialable, period! Correct! Take some bread away from breakfast, and if you have a balcony room, toss it over, in small pieces, while your in a port. In about 30 seconds, fish will come up and start feeding on the bread. It's called chumming, and it doesn't affect the environment. Dolphins swim just behind the stabilizers en-route. Turbulance=fish= dolphins. Witnessed alot of hours of this activity. Metrowon

duct tape? ;)
FOR THE CHILDREN? Not yours, no actually, we've never been dissapointed with any children on-board 4 previous cruises. Leave the duct tape at home. Bring the optimism you espect from a Disney product, and don't listen to anyone who's bitchin about anything! It's a great time, just allow it to happen, and enjoy it. Metrowon

duct tape? ;)

Florescent duct tape is even better. Metrowon, this way you can see the kids coming. LOL

No actually, duct tape (which needs to be packed in checked baggage) is great for many things. If you have black luggage, use it to put a great big X on your luggage and you'll never have a problem finding it when it comes off the conveyor belt at the airport or anywhere else. And if you happen to try to squeeze WAY too much into said luggage breaking the zipper (which I did once on a cruise) it makes for a quick repair. It can also be used to tape up breakable souvies in plastic or paper bags. I'm sure there are many other uses but these are the 3 I use it for.

Add to the list: Travel alarm clock. Beach bag. Either bag or pop up hamper for dirty clothes. Power strip/extension cord. A stack of $1 or $2 bills for room service tips, airport porter tips, etc. Some people really like their collapsable coolers though I've never used one. Thank you cards (i include tips in them with a special thank you). Return address labels for postcards. Waterproof camera. Disposible camera per kid so they can capture their own memories. Autograph book, pillowcase or T-Shirt with Fabric markers which I've read work better than regular sharpies for character signatures. Lanyard or perhaps a waterproof pouch for $, CC, KTTW card. If you have room, Dollar Store sand box items for the kids. A pair of scissors (checked luggage) to cut tags off of stuff you buy. A folder to keep navigators and other paperwork you want to keep.

I concur that the over the door shoe bag is a necessity for me along with a Highlighter, clothes pins.

Here's another reason to bring a Sharpie. Your Castaway club gift is a really nice beach bag. Down side- lots of people have them. We left ours in our room, but saw a lot of people using theirs on Castaway Cay and mistaking theirs for someone elses. Bring the Sharpie and lable yours with your name to avoid any confusion.

There is also a really good thread on RCCL board called "Think you're a cruise expert?" Check it out. Lots of reading, but really good tips/ideas.

:)Travel documents means passports after December 2006.

Many excellent suggestions so far, and I would add one more. Take insulated mugs that can be used for hot and/or cold drinks.

Being Disney people (having been at Disney World close to 30 times and been on 6 Disney cruises), we brought the mugs we purchased for unlimited drinks at All Stars Movie and packed them away.

Being from Wisconsin, my other suggestion is arriving a day of ahead of time. We don't like being rushed when we board, and we have seen luggage show up several days later for people.
