QM2 - Westbound (with dog)

We will be driving through the night from Virginia with our dog to Brooklyn - Red Hook. Is there hourly parking at the port so that we can wait before my DH takes the rental vehicle back to Atlantic Ave. We will have a lot of luggage + dog so I will not go with him but stay at the port. Does anyone know what is the earliest time porters can take your luggage?
