heyy! just wondering, is it best to book airfares from sydney to brisbane throught p&o or other? and if you decide to have a night before at a hotel in brisbane do you get transfers from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the ship?

We booked our flights independently through Virgin Blue. It was only slightly cheaper at the time we booked. You seem to get better flight specials from Sydney than Canberra so I would imagine it would be much cheaper to book yourself.

 

I am not sure about the transfers to/from hotels. If you fly in on the day on it is really easy. There are P*O reps wandering around botht the Qantas and Virgin arrivals to gude you to buses. It is free and seems to be a much easier option than the transit centre.

– Hotel Packages: Transfers included between hotel and ship (and vice versa) on day of embarkation or disembarkation only.

– Air and Hotel Packages: There are no transfers available between airport and hotel

(or vice versa). However, transfers are provided between the hotel and ship (and vice versa).

We are travelling Cairns to Brisbane using Qantas...it's ended up cheaper than the P&O quote,(and yet we are on the only airline P&O could feasibly use for our departure times), & we will be met at the airport by P&O & transfered straight to the ship. Our TA says P&O will only do Airport-Ship transfers for airport arrivals up to 10am. (we have a 2pm dept. on Star). We have a very early departure from Cairns, but decided to risk it & not stay o'night in Brisbane, prefering to use the money saved, on the cruise.

Tropical showers, are you sure that's what P&O said about the times. We caught a shuttle at 10.30am and they had told us that it was only after 10am they went straight to the ship.
