Kittycat Posted August 11, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2023 Has anyone done a helicopter trip in Barcelona independently. The trip on our cruise is sold out but we could book independently but how far is it from the port to the helipad and whats the best way to get there. Thank you. Rare ollienbertsmum Posted August 11, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2023 A quick Google search came up with this. https://barcelona-helicopter.com I have not used this company. The only helicopter tour I did was in Boston Ma. back in 2007. A six minute tour doesn’t sound very exciting but the city tour sounds interesting if still a bit short. They say that they are situated beside the cruise terminal so that might be helpful.
Rare ollienbertsmum Posted August 11, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2023 So to clarify, I am not recommending the actual tour. I meant to be recommending that Google is probably going to be your best friend in this search.

Sorry, not done this but as above, Google is likely your best option for precise info on location etc. I am posting to suggest a couple of options which might work as a "Plan B" and would be more flexible as you could decide on the day when you know what the weather is like, as a helicopter tour in cloudy or rainy weather is unlikely to deliver the expected experience and there may not be a" cancellable for full refund" option. There are two cable car rides in Barcelona, the Montjic one and the Port one, and both offer aerial views of the city. We have only experienced the Montjuic one some time ago so you would need to read Tripadvisor reviews for current info on both. We enjoyed the Montjuic one more than we had expected to and might give the Port one a go should we find ourseelves back in the city again. Not a helicopter tour, but there is more flexibility with these options so a potential "Plan B" should you need one.
