Question about Ferry/DePalm Island tour???

Sorry to post here, but the Aruba port board doesn't seem to get as much response as here. While in Aruba we would like to do 2 things

1) Rent a jeep and tour on our own

2) Do 1/2 day at the DePalm Island

I have a few questions. My kids are only 6 and 8 years old. My 6yo is 41lbs and the 8yo is 53lbs, so they are not big kids. Will they be ok in a jeep with us going to natural bridge/baby beach?? I hear its a bumpy ride.

Next question is I hear you have to take a ferry to get to DePalm Island. Is there parking at the ferry for our rental jeep??? Whats the best way to do all of this?? Should we explore in the AM without the kids and then pick them up to go to DePalm?? Do it all with them???

Whats the best deal for renting a jeep?? Wait till I get there or reserve now?? From which company?

Thank you so much!!!!
