Larger Ships at Sea?

Recommended Posts

Continuing an earlier discussion..about ships being too large to pull into port (or the possibility of them not pulling into ports because they will have evolved into a self contained Disney World, so to speak), I think that with the cost of fuel increasing more days at sea may become less and less or prices will go up and up.

There was a company that was mentioned at the end of a RCCL video that was trying to develop a community on a cruise ship with it's own postal code, runway, schools, etc. for life-long residence. I thought that was really cool, but is that realistic or is Genesis going to be as close to this as we get (predictions are for ships to go back to small after this because ports are already over-crowded)?
