Iceland excursions

Looking for some adventurous excursions for Iceland's Natural Beauty Cruise with Viking.   Are there any white water rafting or zipline excursions that would fit in to the port stops?  Also glacier hiking and horseback riding. Thank you!

You won’t find zip lines or white water. Other than Reykjavik and Akureyri, the ports are very small with few tour options locally. If you can spend extra time in Reykjavik, you might find adventure tours here. https://adventures.is/  We booked several tours through them for our 4 extra days.
Viking offers kayak tours and some ATV tours and horse riding in some ports. We did not do any of these, we were more into waterfalls and hiking.

We booked a 4 hour ATV tour in Isafjordur when we were there.  It was the same outfit that Viking uses, only we scheduled our tour for after their tour.  It was twice as long, and cheaper.  The guide was very good.  His name is Gunner and his email is info@atv-isafjordur.is

There is a “free” 2 hour walking tour of Reykjavik. And “Your Friend in Reykjavik” runs private tours that are suppose to be excellent. There is a tour of inside Harpa most afternoons at 2:00pm. The walking tour and the Harpa tour I have done; both excellent.  The “Your friend….” has a good reputation, but I have never been on one of his. Websites: https://city walk.is; https://yourfriendinreykjavik.com; https://www.harpa.is. Just some ideas….

What are the excursions Viking is offering? When are you going? Is there a roll call on CC or have you started one? TripAdvisor is also your friend—as well as Dr. Google.

I don’t think Iceland is into ziplines, and while there’s lots of “white water” waterfalls, I don’t think there are many (any?) rivers for whitewater rafting.

There will be horseback riding, and perhaps a few options for glacier hiking. Viking offers the former, but don’t know about the latter (liability issues).

I think there might be an excursion into ice caves somewhere along the line, but being a claustrophobic, that wasn't on our radar at all!  I recall some folks saying they took the ATV tours that were loads of fun - and more demanding than they thought they'd be.  We signed up for more of the hiking/trekking activities.  We did the hike to the top of the volcano in Heimaey that was definitely challenging (about 1/3 of the group quit half way up), but also very much worth it at the top!  We were supposed to to a hike to the black sand beach in Djúpivogur that was rated as 'demanding' but the port was cancelled due to weather conditions (total bummer - I had really been looking forward to that one).
