dave&micki Posted March 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2006 what does it mean when you post a thread and then later it says"MOVED"? Where is it moved to and why??? THANKS
Retired not Expired Posted March 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2006 Many people ask questions not relevant to the board posted on. For instance, a question about a hotel on the RCI board will be moved by a host to the Hotel board. A question about Hawaii will be moved to the port of call Hawaii board. Ella2 Posted March 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2006 If you click on the thread it will take you to the thread in the forum that it was moved to. :) As others have said, the moderators are just trying to keep topics in each forum relevant to that forum. Host Karen Posted March 17, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 17, 2006 The above posters are correct, but the most important reason why I choose to a move thread is to provide the OP with a better chance at having the question answered. For example, your question concerned a hotel for your pre-cruise stay in Puerto Rico, so I moved it to the San Juan board. There you can receive (and find) answers from cruisers of all lines, not just Royal Caribbean. You might also want to check out pre- and post-cruise hotel board: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=92 There are many boards of interest and help on this website. I encourage everyone to take a look around before posting a question. It will help you find just the board so you can get just the right answer. :)
SuzieTrue Posted March 17, 2006 #7 Share Posted March 17, 2006 I use the "New Posts" feature frequently. I can than add information to a thread or get a question answered that I haven't seen in my usual places.
above sea level cruiser Posted March 17, 2006 #8 Share Posted March 17, 2006 Or sometimes, as has been the case for me lately - they delete it entirely! ;)
