No, I've been reading some threads on this forum about Key West being tanked from their Itinerary and just wondered if it was the same for the Jubilee this weekend? Have you heard anything? How you been? I've been sooooooooooooo busy with planning? I'm gonna go read your email.... ~~Dolly Carnival Jubilee 6/2004
teedee Posted June 7, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2004 Hi - We are on the Jubilee in July and we have been told that cruises on Jubilee are not affected by the work being done because it is small enough to dock at the other pier, sorry can't remember the name of it right now. CruisingGirl Posted June 7, 2004 #6 Share Posted June 7, 2004 Hey Dolly- This is the post that I sent out yesterday. I hope this helps. I got an e-mail from my TA saying that she received a fax from Carnival stating these ships will not be stopping in Key West due to port construction. I had her fax me copy of the letter and it states that since they will not be stopping in Key West they will extend the schedule time in Cozumel by 5 hours. (arrival will now be 7:00 am). These are the dates: Fascination: June7,21 (my sailing date); July 5,19; August 2,16,30 September 13,27; October 11,25 Imagination: June 17; July 1,15,29; August 12,26; September 9,23; October 7,21 The pier will not reopen until November 1, 2004. I thought I would let you guys know if you happen to be sailing on these dates. CruisingGirl Posted June 7, 2004 #8 Share Posted June 7, 2004 Thanks Dolly, this cruise is a 40th birthday surprise for my DH. I was a little bummed when I found out we weren't going to KW but I'll be cruising with my hubby on a long waited vacation so I plan to make to most out of it. Have great time on your cruise. ama-sam Posted June 7, 2004 #10 Share Posted June 7, 2004 I just sent a note to Carnival asking them to confirm this for my cruise, July 29 on the Imagination. I certianly hope that TA fax is wrong, as that port was the reason I chose this itinerary and Carnival in the first place. I will still make the best of my cruise , but I carefully choose this itinerary to introduce my mom and a friends mom to cruising and will be sad if we have only one stop and two sea days. It's just not a good first impression to have your whole itinerary change...I think it's going to leave a bad impression on everyone about Carnival. jfritz126 Posted June 7, 2004 #12 Share Posted June 7, 2004 This is confusing because when I talked to Carnival about this I was told only the Glory was affected because it is too big to dock at the Hilton Marina and it is the Navy dock that is under construction. That is on the other side of the island.
