Rare HangryGrl Posted September 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted September 22, 2023 Hi All! I saw a link in another post for the free Passport shuttle (https://ridelbt.com/passport/) around Long Beach. It looks like it would be an easy free way to get from the Renaissance Long Beach in downtown to the port on the morning we embark. Wondering if anyone else has done this and if so how it went? The trip planner on the Passport website looks like it would take about 20 minutes and I doubt we will be in a huge hurry.
Expressman Posted September 22, 2023 #2 Share Posted September 22, 2023 Looks like an interesting option. If anyone has experience using this service I would love to hear about it. Fo me it might be an option to use to spend some time downtown post cruise before heading to the airport.
lasvegascruising Posted September 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted September 26, 2023 We did exactly this...stayed at the Renaissance in Dec 2019. Walked across the street to the stop for the passport. We didn't know if there would be an issue of us boarding with three pieces of luggage, there was not. It was on the early side so there were not many folks on board or folks waiting at the stop. Just remember, it drops off at the Queen Mary and you will have to walk from that stop over to the dome. We arrived the day before our cruise and rode the passport just to get a feel for how it operated. After that, we looked at each other and decided to use it the next morning for our transport to the port. We really enjoyed the tour. We are cruising the Panorama, Dec 2023 and staying at the Marriott Residence Inn Downtown. Hoping to use the passport bus from this hotel over to the Queen Mary on embark day. Has anyone done this?
