Cave Tubing & Aerial Trek Tour w/ RC? Will we be happy or sorry?

Our cruise leaves 4/9 on the Explorer. We are interested in doing the 7 1/2 hour combination tour that does the cave tubing and aerial trek. Is that too long a day for us out-of-shape middle agers, plus a 15 yo son and 12 yo daughter? It's also the 2nd formal night -- will we be sorry we booked such an exhausting day?

Should we book on our own or through the ship since I don't want to chance the ship leaving without us. Also, we would be able to tender off the ship quicker if booked w/ the cruiseline. Ship is only docked from 8-5.

However, it is a very expensive tour. Also read on the boards that cave tubing is so much better when booked privately.

Has anyone experienced this combination tour - happy or regrets?? Please let me know since I need to book something asap. Thanks so much for your advice.:)
