Hair dryers on Caribbean Princess

We haven't been on a cruise since pre covid.  Can anyone tell me if the hair dryers in the cabins are better than they used to be?

Was on the Caribbean from 8/30 to 9/9.  The hairdryer in my cabin was the old Sunbeam type that is hardwired.  If your hair is very thick, it won't do the trick.

I’m bald.

 

But my wife has thick curly hair.  Built in hairdryers on the Caribbean and Sapphire have been adequate.  But she had a lot of trouble with the release on ours on the CB. She would have liked to take hers from home.
