Just getting this roll-call started. We're taking this cruise with a group of cruise friends, as the 2nd leg of a B2B out of NYC/Manhattan.

This will be the first cruise departing from NYC for my wife and I, who have taken 15 previous cruises, all Caribbean, departing from various Florida ports.

Looking forward to hearing from, and getting to know others who are on this sailing, particularly those who have sailed from NYC in the past.

Anyone else doing the same B2B?

Thanks

Bill & Sarah

Thanks for starting the roll call. Yep, never too early to start daydreaming about relaxing especially on dreary stressful days.

I haven't been on this ship but have sailed on Carnival and many other different cruise lines. My brother and I, sans our spouses and children, will be traveling with our 90 y.o. father. Great having something for him to look forward to. Our last cruise with the 3 of us was a blast.

We are New Yorkers and love the convenience. Let's see when and if the congestion price-fixing will be passed and in effect by then. Hopefully not. lol

Regards,

T

Hello, solo traveler here.  Celebrating 50th birthday and leaving the wife and kids home. First cruise since the world changed. I had a few scheduled that never sailed.  Looking forward to going back on a ship!

Also, I live pretty close to the terminal and have sailed many times from Manhattan.  I can answer a lot of questions about the basics.

I don't know if this website is just dead these days or what? First off, you are definitely welcome to park in my driveway, but I'm taking the train like I always do. A 25-minute ride and a quick yellow cab. Word of caution for out of towners, NO livery cars, or rideshares. They are 100 percent predatory to visitors and will make up stories to grossly overcharge. I'm really surprised that there is no activity here in 2 months. I made the final payment and accepted a cheap upgrade from a Cove balcony to deck 12. I Purchased Cheers, top internet package, steakhouse first night to get free bottle of wine to have in addition to the one that you are allowed to carry on, and most importantly: it has historical been a race to the excursions desk on day one to get the behind the fun tour. Often sold out immediately, and to my surprise, it was presold, and I got it. As of a couple of days ago, there were still 2 or 3 spots left. I can't recommend this experience enough. Time can't go by fast enough, but October will be here before we know it!

Hello,  MY husband and I will be on this sailing.  Finally we will get our honeymoon cruise! WOOP WOOP! We got married 10/10/2020 and sadly we could not go on our booked cruise do to covid.

I am 44 and my husband is 43.  I am 5'5 my husband is 6'6 we are hard to miss LOL.  We are husband and wife team truck drivers. We have trucked the united states with the exception of just a few states.  As of current we truck predominantly the north east.  I drive the days and my husband drives the nights. We actively share our adventures with social media. We are very over do for a honemoon ,break , and most of all vacation to hang up the keys and let some one else drive the ship LOL. We will be parking the truck upstate New York we have booked Yankee Trails bus from rensselaer to the cruise terminal.

We have booked to swim with dolphins,  a rum mixology and beach day, downtown sightseeing and Monkey land for our excursions.

Specialty meals we have planned are the steak house and teppanyaki.

This will be my husband's first cruise though I have cruised several times myself.

I was excited to see someone stared the roll call.

Take care for now

Ashley and Rich

Just signed up.

My last cruise got back the day they quarrentined the ship in Italy in early Covid.

I've sailed out of NJ before, but don't think from NY side.

Flying in day b4 from CO.

Any suggestions on where to stay night b4?

Good morning!  I hadn't looked to see if there was a roll call here, seems like most folks have moved this sort of thing to Facebook, but I'm always up for pre-cruise conversation!  This cruise will be my wife and I, and our two adult kids and their spouses.  My wife, daughter and SIL live in Jonesboro, Arkansas, and our son and wife live in Michigan, so we'll converge on the Apple the day before we sail, we'll do touristy things, then we can't wait to set sail!  My wife and I have cruised many times, the kids not so much, but only the daughter in law is a cruise virgin, nothing like a NYC crowd to get her started!

Hey Mr. Six, are you saying that we're not able to take an Uber or Lyft or that you don't recommend it?

I don't recommend it. The rideshare drivers hang out near the taxi stand, represent themselves usually taking square or apps for payment and charge 150 for a ride that should be 15-25. Go with a metered yellow cab.

I've used rideshare in NY city a couple of times and it was fine. I used the app with posted prices however rather than picking it up at the curb. From the airport has always been a cab however.

We are 4 seniors who have cruised numerous times out of nyc.  First time on Venezia.  Looking forward!  We are Shirley, Terry, Audrey and Cyril.  We are driving from Toronto, Canada and plan to split cost and park at the port.  Is there a more economical parking soltion.  Thx

When I booked the cruise, I added Faster to the Fun to my cart, but didn't notice it wasn't there the next day when I paid. When I went back later I realized it wasn't there, and it was sold out.

Been checking several times a day since then, and finally this morning was able to add.  YEAH!!! Bring on Oct 4th!
