TheHawk1 Posted November 14, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2023 Was looking at a potential cruise on the Odyssey and noticed that most of the JS cabins are located near the elevators on each deck. However, on Deck 9, there is a large number of the JS cabins right in the middle of the ship. They are also priced at a substantial increase above the other JS suites. Does anyone know from experience whether these cabins justify the higher premium price? Are they larger or is it just a better location?

The reason that those are priced higher is that they are a category J1 and will hold up to 4 guests while the others are a category J4 and will only hold 2 guests. Cabins are the exact same size 1
GlenG Posted November 14, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 14, 2023 Were on Odyssey in September, 12636 J4 cabin, amazing cabin great location, never heard the elevators, only very occasionally someone talking extra loud as they walked past. Would thoroughly recommend.
Jkaczanowski Posted November 14, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 14, 2023 Loved the Odyssey junior suites right by the elevators. While they only hold 2 people, they are spa juniors so have a much nice shower.

The other bath had a tub, walk in shower and a sink. We liked it, it made getting ready easier for the 2 of us. Next summer we have one of the ones that has 2 toilets and no walk in shower, just the shower/tub combo. Not sure if that’s better or worse.
