NCL Prima cabin 10704 for NCL first timers...

I had unknowingly booked a cabin in the slide area, thanks to CC cruisers letting me know, so canceled it and booked 10704. We have never been on the front of a ship, so this will be a new experience. Any insight on 10704 is welcome. I'm guessing it will be windy, but January in the Caribbean should be fairly warm, and we are going out of Galveston.

We sailed in 11706 which has a portion of the balcony that is forward facing and really enjoyed the views.  Wind occasionally was a problem but surprisingly not as often as I had assumed.  I believe your balcony will be half protected with glass which will give you wind protection on a portion of your balcony.  Your balcony railing will not be see through so you will likely have to stand up to see out.
