Spledour Question About Best Place to

Recommended Posts

Splendour was great - food was good enough and the crew / staff were VERY friendly. The bartender in the Viking Crown Lounge was terrific(caribbean guy - can't remember his name)! Dining room service wasn't as good as on Rhapsody but still ok (our waiter was "Pistachio"); we preferred WJ for breakfast and lunch. CD was pretty good but his assistant "peter pan" was annoying (as the bingo people usually are). We had a great day at Paradise Beach in Cozumel - highly recommended!

There are so many places to lay out on Splendour, we never felt crowded. Now, finding a protected place if it is windy or a little cool is another story!!

Our favorite "windy" spot--go into the gym, and out the back door, and there is a small deck area very well protected from wind! Only drawback, no bar service, but you can walk to the grill in the solarium close by for drinks/food. Shhhh, don't tell anybody!!

Have fun!

Terri23, I'm wondering if you were on the same cruise as us last month over President's Day weekend because I would have to agree with you 100%. We LOVE the Rhapsody....the Splendour is great for a short getaway but there's just something about the Rhapsody.

Bingo Boy was VERY annoying but he started to grow on us as time went on.

Mario was our bartender up in the Viking Crown and he wasn't hard on the eyes either. ;)

I would say very back of the ship one deck down from rock climbing wall. Or you can get there threw the Spa. There is one set of stairs port side(left) at the very back by the golf and Rock wall deck.

Also, the pool / deck service (Mango Tangos!!) was better on Rhapsody....but Viking Crown was better on Splendour!! We had fun on both (I need a cruise!!!)
