Chrissy3427 Posted December 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2023 Good day, going in late January 2024, for the on/off trolley excursions, how does the ship excursion manage this? Just give you your tickets and off you go, or is there a designated trolley at the ship and it starts from there? Purchasing directly from the trolley company is significantly cheaper. I have taken this is popular cities and sometimes the trolley's are so full 3 trolleys will go be before you can get on one, I imagine with a ship in town, this could potentially happen. Any advice will be appreciated! Thanks! Chrissy
Mangrove Snapper Posted December 13, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2023 We've done the hop on/hop off trolley in Boston through the ship and there is a designated trolley that meets you at the ship and loads you there. What does Boston have to do with Key West? The reason I bring this up is one of the trolley drivers this past October in Boston was telling us that every year after cruise ship season is done in Boston, he goes down to Key West to drive the trolleys there for the winter. It's the same company. So it's possible that they have the same procedure in all of the ports in which they offer their trolleys. But someone who has done this excursion through the ship in Key West would need to confirm.
Rare peanutzmom Posted January 15 #3 Share Posted January 15 I wouldn’t pay extra for the ship excursion. There isn’t a trolly stop directly at the port, and it’s literally a three minute walk through Mallory Square, where you can buy the tickets without the ship mark-up. That’s probably where the ship excursion would take you anyway!
