Rare donnabob Posted December 15, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 15, 2023 This post was recognized by LauraS! "Thank you for sharing your review with everyone at Cruise Critic." donnabob was awarded the badge 'Great Review' We took the 8 hour tour from the cruise port and were very happy with it. The bus was waiting for us at the terminal entrance. We had to take a bus from the ship to get there so make sure you get off early as it is way too far to walk. There were a few concerned passengers as our ship was in port for 8 hours and the tour was the same length. The first question the guide asked was what time we had to be back to the ship and they made sure they got us there in time. Much better tour than the 2 I took through the ship. Friendly guide, informative tour.
Mar1987 Posted December 15, 2023 #2 Share Posted December 15, 2023 In Valencia we booked a private guide who took us to the city centre by bus (local city buses are great and no that crowded). Once in downtown areas we walked through the beautiful big Plaza Ayuntamiento and Plaza de la Reina visiting the Cathedral that preserves the "Holy Grail", the Jewish Quarter with its little market and a few other interesting churches. Time for the best Paella in town and back to the ship plenty of time (Tot. 5 hours visit).
California Dreamer Posted December 30, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2023 Thanks for the Valencia reviews! donnabob, did you use Spain Day Tours or someone else? Also, was the 8 hours a bit tiring? Mar1987, who did you use for the tour and where did you eat Paella? I’m just starting my research for our day in Valencia! We booked Valencia walking tour through "Tours by Locals" and we had Danny as our tour guide. We then had lunch with Paella on our own at "Baltazar" Restaurant just off Plaza de la Reina.....
