St Thomas on our own from Carnival.

My husband and I will be in St Thomas in April. Not sure were the pier is that Carnival uses. We are hoping to walk around and see the sights. Maybe do the sky ride. Is that walkable? Any recommendations for us? This will be our first time in St Thomas.

Carnival docks in Havensight , lots of shops, and right at the base of the Skyride. If your comfortable with driving on the left, rent a car by the port, and sightsee own.

The Pirate/Shipwreck museum is a few steps from the Skyride, and it's an interesting place to visit. Lots of artifacts that were recovered from shipwrecks and some of the technology used to discover and recover them. There will probably be lots of kids, though.

 

There are also 2 craft beer bars in the area- Tap and Still and Leatherback. Leatherback is down the block from Skyride/Pirate Museum, and Tap and Still is across the street closer to the ships.

 

If you want creative mocktails, Bar and Kitchen,across from Tap and Still uses local ingredients for many of their beverages.
