Regarding booked cruise when price went down

Recommended Posts

The price of our Regal cruise went down in price.  I tried to get it refared, but was told the price actually went up and not down.  The only choice I had was to rebook online and then cancel the original booking.  The CVP was very helpful, but I found it odd to have to do it that way.  We were booked in an accessible cabin C432 and end d up in an accessible cabin C433.

Anyone else ever run into this?

Yes, often.  When a fare is marked "new bookings only", to get that price you must cancel and rebook.  Seems rather cumbersome to me.  If you have any reservations for transfers, excursions, internet, etc, they all cancel and you must re-book them under the new booking.

But, CVPs are very good at doing this.
