walkingsoon Posted January 14 #1 Share Posted January 14 Does Seabourn run shuttles from port to downtown when the pier is far removed from the town area? If so, free or charge? Are the shipboard offered excursions limited in size, as in van versus full bus? How soon before the cruise can one make reservations for TK grill? How available is it for shipboard reservations or walk-ups? Is the "Source" app developed by the same company that does the Princess app? Is it well regarded by Seabourn regulars? Does the casino have "Fun 21" or just regular blackjack? TIA...Walkingsoon
JPH814 Posted January 14 #2 Share Posted January 14 (edited) Five (and a half) quick answers 1) sometimes yes;, sometimes no. if yes, it is free. 2) plan on a bus with at least 20 people 3a) as soon as you make your reservation for the cruise and log into your account, you can make one reservation for TK or Solis 3b) Sometimes it is available for shipboard reservation, but it is better to book in advance. Availability on board is limited and you may or may not get your preferred dining time. Walk ups are rare. 4) no idea who did the app. I have used it for 3 cruises now so for me it is pretty easy to use. Others with less experience (or less tech savvy individuals) have complained 5) regular blackjack. Casino has maybe 3 tables, one blackjack, one roulette and one some variety of card game. And usually about 6 or 10 slot machines. Edited January 14 by JPH814
tjcox9 Posted January 14 #3 Share Posted January 14 As for the app, it's really not similar to the Princess app, but almost identical in function and look (with the exception of color schemese) to the Holland America app.
stan01 Posted January 14 #4 Share Posted January 14 (edited) Seabourn Source is fine for daily schedule, menus, account status, and lets you message other passengers by name. You can can order coffee drinks to pick up at Seabourn Square from it but cannot order room service (not sure they are eager to offer that on an all-inclusive cruise line). The other interesting part is that you can see the daily menus (only) for your next booking. We have a booking on Ovation in November so can see menus now. So it helps build some excitement leading up to the next cruise. Edited January 14 by stan01 1
walkingsoon Posted January 15 Author #5 Share Posted January 15 Thanks to all for the answers 🙂 I'm guessing that the TK >--> Solis transition is possibly the source of my reservation difficulties. One segment shows both restaurants and is allowing Solis reservations, but not TK. The other segment only shows TK but isn't allowing reservations. I've got time and I assume it'll work out. The App is only allowing me to see the first booking and periodically times me out, a function of changing pages - not time. I don't care too much as I probably won't use it at all once aboard. Stan is right about the menus. It makes me realize how plain my planned dinner for tonight is.

Stan we leave on February 10 on the Sojourn. on the app, I can see tonight’s menu in each of the venues but certainly not date menus for our booking. Can you give me an instructions on how to pull that up? We are omnivores, find lots of things we love to eat, but I actually might change some SHORE activities to get back for favorites on board. Thanks Edited January 15 by Steve007NY

Thanks Yes, it is tonight's menu on the ship, not the full menu for your cruise. You won't know what's on offer until the night before. It updates to the next day between 10 PM and midnight (ship's time). Edited January 15 by stan01

Some posted these remodel schedule on another thread if that helps.
