Voyager’s Club $50 OBC

I booked a YC cruise for November and did not put in my Voyager’s Club number while booking. I (incorrectly) assumed that, since I was logged in to my account, the 5% discount + 5% for booking more than 6 months out *plus* the extra $50 pp OBC for being Gold Level and booking more than 9 months out would automatically be applied. It was not.

I called the main MSC number and the agent did get the 5%+5% applied but said that he is unable to do $50pp OBC and that we could get the OBC applied at Customer Service once onboard. Does that sound correct or should I call back and press the issue? I just feel like this could turn into a bit of a fiasco once on board with customer service saying that it is a shore based issue that needed to be addressed before boarding.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.

Get a good travel agent and have the travel agent pursue the extra $50 OBC. We tried to get it at the concierge desk and it did not help one bit. One must get it applied before getting on the ship.

I would give it a couple of days - my experience is the $50 OBC is added to the booking overnight after entering the voyagers club number and you will receive a new booking confirmation email that includes the OBC.

Hello,

None of my paperwork issued at the time of booking shows my €50.00 OBC, but it does appear on line on 'My Cruise > Booking details'.

Regards,

Cublet

I asked a similar question not too long ago.  It is my understanding, based on the responses I got here on CC, along with the MSC terms & conditions, is your $50 OBC will be applied to your account while on the ship.

MSC Terms:

Silver, Gold and Diamond members receive an additional €/$50 shipboard credit on top of their discount on their Voyages Selection booking. Shipboard credit is issued per member and not per cabin. Shipboard credit is applied to the final bill at the end of the cruise. Shipboard credit does not apply to MSC Voyagers Club members under 18 years old.

Also, make sure your booking confirmation shows your cruise as a Voyager Exclusive.

Update…. I just checked my cruise booking details again this morning and the $50pp credit is now there! Thank you all so much for your suggestions!

Now on to figuring out why our Voyager Club points from our mid-Dec sailing are not there! I’ve emailed mscvoyagersclub@msccruisesusa.com. We’ll see what happens!

Hey thanks…I just looked at our November cruise and our $50 pp is now showing, along with our promotional OBC.  Nice benefit!

Does anyone know if the OBC can be used in the casino?
