kaz828 Posted January 21 #1 Share Posted January 21 We are considering doing a Greek cruise but would like to get off the ship for a wedding ceremony, simple just the two of us Is something that maybe can be done?
UKWildcatCruiser Posted January 21 #2 Share Posted January 21 It can be done, sure. But there are lots of things that can go wrong if any pre-planning is involved. Cruise ships skip ports all the time for various reasons so what happens if you have a church, minister, photographers, etc waiting on you and your ship doesn't dock? Not to mention the legality of it. If you live in the U.S., it will not be a legal union. The better option is to do it before boarding the ship, then have a wonderful cruise with your newly wedded partner:)

You would need to look at the legalities of "how to get married in Greece", but are you aware that on some cruiselinbes it is possible to get married onboard? Those which offer "weddings at sea" can help you plan to your own preferences and budget.
Rare John Bull Posted January 31 #4 Share Posted January 31 There's also the option of a wedding on the ship - check out the cruise line's website or e-mail them. I don't know the legalities, but its an option which isn't dependent on the ship making port. JB 🙂
