DShock Posted February 7 #1 Share Posted February 7 Decided to come back to Princess for a long transatlantic cruise and need advice. We have never sailed on Regal Princess. Booking an aft Penthouse Suite and all that's left are A734 or C739. We love to hang out on our balcony on sea days but also like privacy from above. Do these cabins provide any privacy? Which room would you pick of these two? Do they have loungers that lay flat?
cruisinsince75 Posted February 10 #2 Share Posted February 10 Neither one are private. They are not covered and the cabin up above can look down to yours. They do have two loungers.
nasa1974 Posted February 10 #3 Share Posted February 10 My understanding is that there is still a soot issue on the aft balconies. Although I heard the room stewards are very good at cleaning every day. A734 gets you closer to the Lido Deck where C739 gets you closer to the Promenade. Just depends on which one you would like to be closer to.
nasa1974 Posted February 10 #4 Share Posted February 10 Just saw this post a few below yours. This should help even though it is the Majestic, Regal's sister ship.
MacMadame Posted February 11 #5 Share Posted February 11 This website tells you if a particular cabin has a covered balcony or not. https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/Princess/odell/res76zxu/princessbalconies/id1.html (Link starts you at the Aloha deck but all the desks are there)
walkingsoon Posted February 11 #6 Share Posted February 11 I'd choose Caribe deck just to be a bit closer to the water. Cruisedeckplans' cabin guru spells out some differences between decks, but I wouldn't overthink it. These are amongst the best cabins on the ship with really nice wrap around balconies. If you find them inadequate, I'd suggest that you're trying too hard.
