Liberty Thanksgiving Cruise?

I'm booked on the Liberty Thanksgiving cruise. Does Carnival do something special on Thanksgiving Day? Also, is the ship decorated for the holidays?

I will be sailing on the Liberty for Thanksgiving with a group of people.

 

We were on a December 4th sailing last year on RCCL and they were decorating for Christmas when we boarded.

I was on Liberty last Thanksgiving; we were in port at Costa Maya. There is a traditional turkey dinner option in the dining room, but the ship is not decorated for the holiday. They also showed the early NFL game on the Big Screen on the Lido deck.

Did you find the Liberty was a smooth sailing ship? The last three ships I went on were RCCL's new ships and they are sooooo smooth. I'm a little worried to go back on Carnival but since this is a newer ship I thought they might have made some improvements like RCCL did.

The ride was very smooth, although we did have some motion on the first sea day caused by the left-overs from TS Gamma.
