It surely is not shopping, unless you count 5 minutes walking through the shop. Sea day, in Alaska at least is a great day. Sleep in. Read. Eat when you want. Wander about the ship. We had a nice comfortable RELAXING day, vs shore days that some people are hell bent on shopping till they drop.

We spend the entire day up on Lido deck sunning and enjoying the festivities. Mix in a few drinks of the day and we are happy campers.

My favorite thing is just finding a chair on the balcony or in a nice shaded area on a outside deck. Take a nap, read a book or just watch the world go by. I look forward to this on a cruise. Takes away the stress from work that has built up. icon_smile.gif

While we do spend some time shopping and in the casino, usually we people watch, engage other cruisers in conversation, take in a movie, nap and just basically relax.

There are so many things we like to do on sea days. If we have a balcony, we eat lunch out there. We've enjoyed just relaxing, dominating Pictionary, dance classes, and art auctions. Whew! That makes us sound much older than we are! If it's a really good sea day, it's hard to make it out of the cabin to enjoy the rest of the ship.

My perfect sea day was on the Sun sipping smoothies in our private hot tub. That was a very good day!

DW is off to the spa. I go to the gym to workout, shower and then head for a deck lounge chair to read and soak up some sun (as well as a few drinks). Around lunch we meet up and spend the afternoon relaxing, playing cards or whatever. The idea is to relax and not have to be any where at any time.

early morning breakfest then back to bed... wake up around 11 and hit the funnel deck for sun, fun and much rum... back to the cabin around 3 for a "nap" with my gf... then gin-n-tonics in the room while getting dressed for dinner... then go get a drink at one of the bars and meet some nice folks... then off to a nice dinner with a beautiful woman, a good buzz and a little sun burn all to keep you happy... icon_cool.gif

Definitely the hairy chest contest! Love to see all those middle-aged and older guys sucking in their guts as they try to impress the young, shapely judges!

DH entered it but wasn't even in the top three. Oh well, he's still number one in my book.
