Almost Live from NCL Viva 3/10/24

Recommended Posts

Appreciate your live as well as recap.

I’m disappointed regarding the entertainment - small venues and having to line up so early.    Perhaps with enough feedback, ncl will implement booking shows to help organize and manage overcrowding.

We are cruising the Viva in Jan '25. We are on a 7 ports for 7 days out of San Juan.
A few questions: We are coming in on Friday to San Juan, sailing on Sunday. Any recommendations for where to stay for the 2 nights? First timers to PR.
I saw where you said the Vibe wasn't worth it with no sea days, but did you happen to catch the cost of it? No one at NCL really wants to share that with me and it is too far out to book.
Thanks for your wonderful detail on the cruise and the ship!

@mperrizo  Thank you for taking the time to report on your Viva experience.    I appreciated your writing style as it was a very easy read.

We are currently booked on the same itinerary next year on the Viva and have been going back and forth whether to cancel and do a land-based vacation, so your report was very informative to us.

The Vibe when we looked was just over $250 per person for the 7 days. It did sale out so others saw value we just didn't with no sea days. Lots of great hotels in San Juan area, Air B&B is an option as well. A few hotels we have stayed at and liked are below, there are many options in a variety of price ranges in the San Juan area and beyond, but these are properties we have used in San Juan area for short stays or pre cruise stays. We found the pre cruise nights for March 9 to be some of the highest we have seen in the past and we started looking about 9 months in advance.

Hope you enjoy your trip.
