Hi :)

We are trying to decide on a Hotel for one night pre-cruise. We will be basically just sleeping there.

Has anyone stayed at the AmeriSuites Fort Lauderdale or

Ramada Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise port ?

If so what did you think about them?

Thanks

Joe and Sheryl:)

We stayed at the Amerisuites 3 years ago for our cruise and they were GREAT! We have two kids (3 and 5 at the time). The pool was fun. The location left something to be desired, but we were able to walk to a few restaurants and the grocery store to pick up some sodas (and dinner). They were prompt picking us up at the airport and very prompt getting us to the cruiseport.

NOW that was 3 years ago.....

We are staying there again tomorrow night with a group of 14 of us going on the Magica on the 26th (yah), so will have more information when we return.

Cheers.

Joe & Sheryl, We stayed at the Sleep Inn Ft Lauderdale before our 3/5 Magica cruise. It's part of Choice Hotels chain with Comfort Inn/Suites, Quality Inn, etc. It was conveniently located between the airport and cruise port and offers free shuttle service to/from both. They were very reasonably priced, clean, great location, and had a great free breakfast (the first time I had eggs and biscuits w/gravy at a free hotel breakfast). Walk across a side street to a Publix grocery superstore and 2 restaraunts (Chinese and Italian/Seafood. I know this isn't 1 of the 2 hotels you were asking about but this was a great find for us. We bought wine and a case of water at Publix and took it on the cruise, that way we didn't have to bring it on our flights. Hope you have a great trip.
