LocutusOfBorg Posted September 26 #76 Share Posted September 26 I did an online renewal on the 11th, the payment processed on the 13th and I had the passport in hand on the 19th. I purchased the standard delivery and apparently it came faster than it takes for the application status to be updated.
Rare PrincessArlena'sDad Posted Monday at 11:04 PM #77 Share Posted Monday at 11:04 PM Just to add a data point, which is very consistent with the above. My wife and I both did online renewals on 9/17 (I did mine right before she did hers) Payments for both were processed on 9/19 Hers was processed in AR, and we received it on 9/26 Mine was processed in AZ, and we received it on 9/30 The online renewal is a great change. Only takes a few minutes to do online, and you do not have to worry about cropping and then printing passport sized photos. The online system automatically crops it for you. From taking our pictures to hitting the submit button it took less than a half hour for both of them. The online status update, however, does not keep up with the current speed. Two days after USPS informed delivery told me the passport was on its way via priority mail, I got the status update that my passport was approved and would be mailed within two weeks.
