Maitre 'D George ??

Does anyone know the whearabouts of a Maitre 'D named George that was on the Tropicale (or as we fondly refer to "The Top of H*ll")back in 2000. He was a wonderful man from Greece who looked a great deal like Omar Sharif and began every one of his anouncements with "Good Eeeeeevening". He made an otherwise horrendous trip something special! Would love to sail with him again if he's still around Carnival.

I believe he is on the Sensation now. We sailed her back in May and I remember them talking about George the Greek. I'm not sure if it's the same person, but it may be.

On one of my late 80s cruises, there was a "Gorgeous Greek named George" who was the headwaiter for our dining room. My two sisters and I drooled over him every evening. We had George the Greek on our very first cruise five years ago on the Celebration out of New Orleans. Of all our cruises, we loved George the best. What a terrific personality. Wish he were on the Elation. He's the best!!!

WOW!! I guess George really has made an impression on people over his many years!! We've been on 3 cruises since "George" and not ONE Maitre "D has ever come close to matching his charisma and charm.

I'm sooo jeleous to those that may see him soon! Enjoy...he is definately a "soul" you will remember!!

LOL! I should know! I'm married to a Greek and there is more than one "George" in this family!! I think there is a "George" in every Greek family!! We'd just love to meet him on our Sensation Cruise!! It would be lots of fun!!

George is the best I have had on any cruise on any line.

We have been on the Sensation twice and George was there both times. We will sailing once again in August on the Sensation and maybe he will be with us again.

By the way I married a Greek also, we have two Georges in our family.

"George the Greek" was on the Ecstasy in '93. We loved him. He was fantastic. I have a pictue of him. If I knew how to post it I would.
