PattyMichael Posted March 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2006 We are booked on the Cenutry Sept 2, The Best of Europe. We plan on booking our shore trips with the cruise line. How soon should we purchase them? Do they sell out fast? Do we pay right away for them ,or is the payment placed on our ship board account? Thanks

You can always cancel (with 24 hours notice) if your plans change. I believe Celebrity charges you for the excursion right away. Princess doesn't charge you for the excursion until you're on the ship.
suzeyQ Posted March 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Celebrity does charge you as soon as you book them. As for when to book, very few excursions sell out before the sailing date - most people don't pre-book them and wait till they're onboard - so you don't need to be in any huge rush to book them. Having said that, if you know there are certain ones you want to do, why not book them as soon as you decide? We like booking as far ahead as possible so they're paid for as soon as possible and we don't have to budget for them once we're on the ship. PattyMichael Posted March 27, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted March 27, 2006 Thanks, sounds like a plan. I also heard if you change your mind on ship you have 24 hours to cancele them. Do they just credit back your credit card?
