emccully Posted March 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Does anyone know about and/or can recommend a place where we can have dinner and watch the sunset over the water in PV? Erik
G&L in WPG Posted March 26, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Do you want to be right on the beach for dinner, or just have a great view of the sunset over the water? If you are just going for the view, and you like really good food, I would recommend Barcelona Tapas. Downtown, on a hill, this building commands a wonderfull view of the bay, and has awesome Spanish Tapas food. Not cheap, but very good. You should make a reservation for a seat on the edge of the balcony for sunset as it is busy (222-0510). If you want to eat right on the beach at Sunset, you have lots of choices. Head for Playa los Muertos, downtown at the far end (south) of the Malecon, there are many places to eat on the beach At the high $ end is La Palapa (sorry, I'm all out of phone numbers), good food but very expensive. I've eaten at Langostina's & Daquari Dick's, and both were OK. Food at Burros bar is also OK, much less $. You would get a nice sunset at any of these places, or any where else right on the beach. Or if you are more adventurous, you could sit at a palapa on the beach, buy drinks, and get food from the vendors on the beach. I'm a big fan of Shrimp on a stick, or marlin or mahi mahi on a stick. Really good! Damn, now I'm hungry....
Armchairtravelwoman Posted March 26, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 26, 2006 Erik, go to ***** and then click on the Restaurant Guide on the main page. On the next page, click on "views". There's a short list of tried and true restaurants with a view plus descriptions of the food available and the price range. Have fun picking one! gottago2mexico Posted March 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2006 Le Kliff, La Palapa, Cabana Club, El Panorama all have great water views. I've only eaten at La Palapa (excellent) and Cabana Club (not excellent, but a lovely place, I'll still give them another chance).
