cruiser_uk Posted May 12 #1 Share Posted May 12 Hello, Can anyone help or advise. Had email today from MSC UK saying Ocho Rios berth 2 closed until December 24, therefore not calling, going to Falmouth instead. However the itinerary when I log into MSC is still saying Ocho Rios, and the excursion list on the MSC website still reflect Ocho Rios as the destination port. Looked on cruisemapper and its showing as Seascape is the only ship due into Ocho Rios on 07/15/24 so no reason as both berths not occupied as one damaged. Also on cruisemapper Seascape itinerary still showing Ocho Rios. Need help and advice as want to book excursions soon. Thankyou
Trueblueky Posted May 12 #2 Share Posted May 12 We were on Divina last month. There was confusion about Manhattan vs Brooklyn for weeks. The captain cleared it up the night before we docked. Apparently, it's how they work.
Tierun Posted May 12 #3 Share Posted May 12 If your booking excursions from MSC you don’t need to worry. Most of the activities are the same just with a longer ride from one port vs. the other.
cruiser_uk Posted May 13 Author #4 Share Posted May 13 Thankyou both for the reply. I guess the safest option is to book MSC excursions. Would they refund if the trip is cancelled if too far from the original port? Really wanted to do Dunns river falls
Tierun Posted May 13 #5 Share Posted May 13 Anything booked through the cruise line is refunded if canceled. Depending on the line’s T&C, you may have to cancel either prior to sailing or 24 hours prior to the excursion.
