Excursion - The Big 3: Snorkel, Kayak & Dolphins

We are stopping at Key West on Royal Caribbean and considering the The Big 3: Snorkel, Kayak & Dolphins excursion. Any comments?:cool:

We chartered a boat from DreamCatchers for snorkelling and the dolphin playground. We'll let you know how it goes (June 24 - sorry...)

This tour is also offered on Carnival and it appeals to me but the price doesn't. I'd like to more at Key West than just eat Key Lime pie!:rolleyes: We aren't going until Nov. so I'll be interested in answers.

I did the big 3 a little over a year ago and thought it was pricey for what you got. Kayaking through the mangroves was the best part. The boat ride was long to see dolphins and was no betterthan what you see sitting on the beach. We basically saw their fins. Then another boat ride to the mangrove area and the kayaking was fun! Then the snorkling was awful. They just basically plunked the boat in the middle of the water (near where we kayaked) and you got off the boat to snorkle. There was nothing to see. No reef no nothing.
