klangel Posted June 16 #4 Share Posted June 16 Hello, There will be six of us. First time on the Venezia. Reading reviews and getting a bit nervous. Can anyone answer the following questions, please? Is the pool small? How many pools are there? What do we need to do before muster? And how do we know where our assigned muster station is at? My time dining, how do we reserve time on Hub? To see nightly shows in the theater do we need to reserve seats? If so, how? Cloud 9 there are free things to use? Please explain What is Sea Day Brunch? Thanks
nycruise1 Posted June 19 #5 Share Posted June 19 The main pool midship on Lido is typically sized for a cruise and there is one in the back between 2 hot tubs that is a bit smaller. Your assigned muster station is on your boarding pass (such as A4) and once on board you can ask where it physically is. I go with early dining but if you look under dining on the Hub app you can request a table each night once dinner opens at 5:30. No reservations are needed for seats anywhere, whether comedy or the main show lounge. Don't think anything is free in the spa but you can use the gym and locker room that does have a sauna. Sea Day Brunch is 8:30 - noon in the MDR and has typical breakfast items and also some lunch/dinner type items. You can search for the menu online and it is held most sea days. Hope that helps.

luvs2beachit Posted July 10 #8 Share Posted July 10 Hi all. This is my 4th cruise on Venezia. Love the ship! Glad to see a roll call for this cruise on CC since the "book" seems to have taken over. We will be a family of 5 with 2 littles ages 8 and 4. It's been a long time since I traveled with children so it should be a fun experience! I do have a couple of questions and am hoping someone here can answer. If I remember correctly the MDR is open for lunch on boarding day? And does anyone have any experience/feedback about Camp Carnival? Thanks, Judie

No I dont ever remember this, definitely has not been the case for years. You could go to La Strada on deck 5 on boarding if you want something less crowded. I did hear there was an incident on the July 16 sailing, I don’t have the details tho. I have a 6 & 3yr old, 6yr old has loved camp since he was 4 or so. 3yr old wasn’t interested last year, pretty much cried himself to sleep, but staff were very encouraging and comforting. We’ll see how it goes this year. I’ve also had older nephew attend and he loved it before becoming a teen.
