Are Plastic luggage tag holders ok?

Recommended Posts

A lot of theft from baggage handling occurs when they can get into the case quickly and close it back up quickly.   It only needs a visible deterrent, such as a padlock showing, that cuts down the risk of someone opening your bag for a quick rummage to see if anything is worth nicking.

To the thief with time on their hands even a padlock is no deterrent but the handlers have a job to do and need to get the cases on ASAP so time to play with the lock is limited.

These could be ok. Our problem is that when folded and inserted you can see the cruise number and cabin number but cannot see the name. This would entail someone removing the tag and opening it to see the name in an emergency. Any ideas on this?

If anyone needed to check then it isn’t difficult to get into them.  However, we also wrote our mobile number with +44 bit onto the part of the tag showing just in case.
