Moderately price hotels near the British Museum

We will be spending on night in London and would like to go to the British museum  and the Petrie Museum. As they are not that far apart, are there a moderately priced hotels within a half mile walking distance. If not we can use transportation.

The Premier Inn Euston is 0.4 miles from the Petrie and just outside your limit at 0.7 miles to the British Museum.  Premier Inn is our largest hotel chain - always reliable and reasonably priced. The Euston hotel is where I usually stay on trips to the central area of the capital. It has a restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. I usually have breakfast there but have never had dinner. You can usually do much better than PI for dinner and I only ever eat at a hotel if it's one of those almost in the middle of nowhere (as some PIs round the country are).

Imperial Hotels have several hotels around Russell Square.  Very close to the British Museum.  Another option is the St Giles Hotel.  All tourist quality hotels and a reasonable price for London.
