Casablanca or Marrakech

Recommended Posts

First time to Morocco. Need suggestions of things to see and do. We dock in Casablanca in November. Is it worth going to Marrakech or just stay in Casablanca. Heard it is a long way, 2-3 hours? Anyway doing this on your own? Can anyone have a reasonably priced tour guide if this is not possible. We arrive early morning and are there till

midnight.

If it is of any interest to you, passengers on our sailing on private tours and  also the shorex, did not go to Marrakesh I think due to the distance.  They instead went to RABAT, the capital of Morocco.

There are very few past threads for Rabat but maybe one or two would be helpful

Marrakesh there is almost nothing, perhaps with good reason?

I went on a day tour with Holland to Marrakech. Very doable with good roads. Great lunch at beautiful hotel . Go if you have opportunity. Also did private tour with driver, but this was many years ago . Moroccans in general are very nice and gentle people.

We booked a tour. Yes, a long drive but not too worried about missing the ship as we don’t leave till midnight
