Bruges - Taking the Train from Zeebrugge

Recommended Posts

Hello. My husband and I are traveling on the Apex and will be arriving on Sunday the 21 of July.  We were considering taking the train into town. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated!

The problem with taking the train is that it only runs hourly and you first have to take ship's  shuttle from the port to Blankenberge station so you can't plan to arrive at an appropriate time. You might have to wait just five minutes for a train or you might have to wait 55 minutes.

Consider taking the free port shuttle to the cruise terminal then the Cruise Express bus to Bruges - at €25 it's only marginally more expensive than ship's shuttle plus train fare.   https://www.cruise-express.be/en/

In Bruges the bus stop & train station are equi-distant from the cobbled centre at about 15 minutes, the walk from the bus stop is more attractive.
