GottaLuvCruising Posted June 20, 2004 #27 Share Posted June 20, 2004 We flew approximately 6,000 miles, from Orlando to Honolulu. The flight was long, but fun since many other passengers were also going on our cruise - we spent much of the time chatting about it.
tinydancer21 Posted June 20, 2004 #28 Share Posted June 20, 2004 Anytime I leave the state it's a LONG flight but the longest for a cruise was Fairbanks, AK to Miami, FL to get on the Carnival Imagination 1997. 9/04 Pride Second Anniversary, First Honeymoon! GottaLuvCruising Posted June 20, 2004 #30 Share Posted June 20, 2004 How could I have forgotten our 20th anniversary cruise? We were living in Taiwan (1993). We flew from there to Maine to get our kids settled in Summer camp. Then we flew to Miami to sail on the Holiday. That's a total of more than 13,000 miles. lephysteria Posted June 20, 2004 #31 Share Posted June 20, 2004 Naren and I flew from San Diego to Barcelona to go on the cruise, and then flew home from Venice, which is where the ship made us disembark. 15 hours in the air. That's a long time in a comfy seat! Happy Sails, Mrs. Tulpule Naren, "But I can't help falling in love with you." momofmeg Posted June 21, 2004 #33 Share Posted June 21, 2004 We flew to Seattle and rented a car there to go to Vancouver for a northbound Alaska cruise. We flew back from Anchorage to Atlanta. This was a 7 hour flight which was almost as long as if we had flown to Europe. TaxijoeLV Posted July 25, 2004 #38 Share Posted July 25, 2004 Ours isn't the longest so far, but was bad enough for us. Vegas to St. Louis, St. Louis to New York, New York to Lisbon, Lisbon to Barcelona, and then a 7 day Med. cruise. But worth it!!!
kristy Posted July 25, 2004 #39 Share Posted July 25, 2004 When we lived in Hawaii, we flew from Honolulu-Miami for a cruise. Long flight, not the longest but still LONG!:)

Caz Caz, I think you are the winner!! Are you stopping for any lenghth of time at all of those different locations before your cruise? Wow!! Or did you get a heck of a discount for taking the scenic route to the states. :D
masq Posted July 28, 2004 #41 Share Posted July 28, 2004 Our longest actual trip was when we flew from Omaha to Granada. About 3,000 miles. The trip that felt like the longest is when we missed the ship and had to catch up with the ship in Belize via Mexico. :D
p.welten Posted July 30, 2004 #42 Share Posted July 30, 2004 We will be travelling in Nov from PNG to cruise the glory. Our trip consists of 5 flights with a total of 25 hours flying with 4 stops totaling 23 hours. Not looking forward to it. Peta
ozcaz Posted July 30, 2004 #43 Share Posted July 30, 2004 Hi Masq, We did get a discounted ticket. Round the world was cheaper than flying direct to the places in the states we wanted to visit. Gives us a opportunity to see other places if only for 4 or 5 days at a time. See why I didnt want to drag around the hair dryer and straightener!! Your hubbies chips will be fine.!! That is my mission for this trip. LOL I actually think Peta is ther winner. I am sure from PNG she will not only have the longest flights but possibly the longest connections as well. Have a great trip Peta!!! Caz
